As a photographer there are many tradeshows within my field that are held all over the world and all year long. However,There are only a couple that stand out to me for multiple reasons. Wedding & Portrait Photography Conference- Expo (WPPI) is one that seems like it would be a great conference/expo to attend. The one coming up in 2013 is being March 7-14 in Las Vega. They also offer classes open to already professional photographers looking for some new tricks as well as the new up and coming photographers just starting to get their toes wet. The classes seem very beneficial to anyone trying to be apart of this industry. They go over everything you could think of for an event; lighting, posing, post production, and business strategies. And if all that isn’t enough you still have the expo to attend with tons of booths from almost every photographic company around. This would be a great place to end up.
There was another fair that caught my eye as well. It’s name, Photokina. Photokina is a biennal event that only happens on even numbered years. It take place in the fall and as far as I can tell in Germany. Photokina also offers a number of classes and has plenty of events and exhibitors there to keep you busy. There are people from all over the world. So much that Photokina has been dubbed one of the most international fairs. The innovative approach is clearly a success.
